A gold-splashed hexalobed tripod censer

18th century
The body of compressed form with six lobes, set below a pair of opposing bail handles rising from a short waisted neck, all supported on three short feet, the apocryphal Xuande mark set in a recessed rectangle in the centre of the base, the dark-brown metal highlighted with irregular gold splashes.
15cm (5 7/8in) long.
