A jadeite archaistic pouring vessel and cover, gong

Of flattened baluster form with a pouring spout at one end of the mouth, the neck decorated with a band of archaistic phoenix, the body rendered with a taotie band with reticulated chilong flanges running down the narrow sides and across the top of the fitted lid, decorated with taotie and chilong motifs, the lustrous green stone suffused throughout with bright green and icy white inclusions.
