A rare gilt-painted celadon jade dish

Qianlong
Fashioned with curved sides, raising from a flat base to raised mouth rim, supported on five tab feet, the interior painted in lacquer with a gnarly blossoming prunus tree with bamboo growing around its base, and a bird in flight, all outlined in gilt and filled with a gilt wash, a similar prunus tree covering the base and exterior walls, but with the addition of a butterfly, the jade of a pale-green tone with some russet staining. 22.4cm (8 3/4in) diam.
