A magnificent pair of imperial cloisonné-enamelled and gilt-bronze censers and covers

Qianlong
Each globular body enamelled in shades of green, red, pink, blue, turquoise and yellow with deer surrounded by lotus blossoms amid scrolling foliage, the shoulder encircled by a pendant lappet border, the neck decorated with an angular scroll, mounted with opposing gilt-handles in the form of writhing five-clawed dragons, supported on three separately cast crane-form legs, the domical cover with two reticulated friezes of scrolling lotus, and herons in a lotus pond, surmounted with a dragon and cloud finial, wood stands.
