Arabic manuscript on paper, 44 leaves, incomplete, 13 lines to the page written in elegant naskhi script, titles written in a bolder script, some defects, modern black leather, slightly worn
255 x 170 mm.

Footnotes

The author was a well-known poet who was born in Damascus in AH 549/AD 1154. He fell out with Sultan Salah-ad-Din and was exiled to Iraq. He travelled extensively in Arabia, Azerbaijan, Khorasan, India, Yemen and Egypt before returning to Damascus where he died in AH 1232.
