Arabic manuscript on paper, 256 leaves, 17 lines to the page written in naskhi script in black ink with diacritics and vowel points in black, gold dots between verses, inner margins ruled in gold, catchwords in wide margins, sura headings in thuluth script in red contained within gold panels, one double page of illumination in colours and gold preceded by two double pages incorporating two illuminated central medallions left blank and the index, contemporary floral lacquer binding with outer covers decorated with wild roses and tulips, doublures decorated with narcissi on black ground, slightly crackled
