Arabic and Ottoman Turkish on paper, 111 leaves, 9 lines to the page written in naskhi script in black ink, gold discs decorated with alternating orange and blue dots between verses, inner margins ruled in red and gold, catchwords in wide margins, headings written in thuluth script in white on gold panels, the names of God and the Prophet written within tesselated panels, the text of the Hilyeh written within medallions decorated with garlands and floral motifs, one double page of illumination in colours and gold, contemporary maroon morocco richly decorated with a diaper pattern and rosettes in silver, with flap, 170 x 110 mm.; and another illuminated copy of the same work, corners rather worn, edges frayed, some staining, brown morocco gilt, rebacked
