with very slightly curving, watered steel blade, the forte decorated with a cusped triangular gilt plaque surmounted by a trefoil motif, the light green jade hilt delicately carved with a chrysanthemum spray at each end on both sides, the decoration set with six symmetrically spaced gold-mounted rubies and two gold-mounted sapphires, with associated scabbard
