the pistol-grip pale green jade hilt carved in low relief at the curved quillons and pommel, the quillons with a large lotus flower with arching leaves, the bottom with a further trail of leaves, the pommel with a lotus and iris flower, and a leafy branch curving over the edge, with a single rosette spray arching towards the two flowers
