The design in the present lot bears a strong resemblance to a 16th Century panel in the State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg (see exhibition catalogue, Iran in the Hermitage, 2004, p. 162, no. 203); and also to panels offered at Christie's, Art of the Islamic and Indian Worlds, London, 23rd October 2007, lot 173, and at Sotheby's, Arts of the Islamic World, 5th April 2006, lot 125.
