Arabic manuscript on paper, 86 leaves, 11 lines to the page written in clear naskhi script in black ink, significant words picked out in red throughout, red and green dots between verses, numerous diagrams, inner margins ruled in green, catchwords in wide margins, one illuminated headpiece in colours and gold preceded by a fine illuminated title page incorporating a shamsa giving the title of the work and the fact that it was commissioned for the Imperial Library of Sultan Bayazid II, rather browned, edges frayed, small repairs, contemporary brown morocco with stamped central medallions decorated with arabesques, traces of gilt, rebacked, edges repaired
