According to the notes on the last page, the manuscript was in the Mughal Royal Library during the reigns of 'Alamgir and Shah 'Alam, before being acquired by Mirza Mahdi Khan Astarabadi, a minister of Nadir Shah, whose seal impression is on the opening page.
