Persian manuscript on paper, 80 leaves, incomplete at beginning and end, 14 lines to the page written in nasta'liq script in black ink in two columns, margins and intercolumnar rules in gold, five miniatures, retouched, some defects, modern black leather binding, 159 x 95 mm.; and two other illustrated manuscripts of Persian poetry, Hafiz's Divan and Sa'di's Bustan, Persia and India, 17th and 18th Century

The miniatures depict: Mihr playing polo; Mihr hunting lions; the capture of the Khaqan in battle; Mihr and Mushtari in battle; Mihr and Gulchihr.
The narrative concerns the friendship of Mihr, the son of King Shapur, and Mushtari, the son of Shapur's vizier.
