A pair of custom Browning presentation Superposed 12 gauge shotguns

Serial nos. 19129S9/19130S9 for 1969. 28-inch blued barrels with ventilated matte ribs with single bead fore-sights; the breech tops inlaid I and II in Roman numerals in gold; the French grey finished actions chiseled in low relief with bold swirling foliate scrolls signed J. Bellefroid; top levers en suite with pierced thumb pieces and inlaid 1 and 2 in Roman numerals in gold; triggerguards en suite; ejectors; non-automatic safety selectors with gold plated single triggers; finely checkered two-piece fore-ends and pistolgrip stocks of figured walnut; basketweave checkered butt; gold ovals with script initials JES; the right side of no. 1 stock with inlaid gold plague inscribed in script John E. Swearingen/from/his devoted wife/for an enchanting

Condition: Excellent, 98% blued finish to barrels, minor handling marks to wood, the rib to no. 2 gun slightly dented.
