Group of photos and veterans badges to a Confederate veteran in the Forrest Cavalry Corps

Memorabilia belonging to G.C. Anderson of Jackson, Tennessee, who served under Nathan Bedford Forrest in the Confederate Army. Comprising: 1) tintype photo of Anderson as a young man in Confederate uniform, 2-14 x 3 inches, framed; 2) a portrait of Anderson in veteran's uniform of the Forrest Cavalry Corps, approximately 9 x 7 inches; 3) Forrest Cavalry Corps membership medal in gilt metal with painted details; 4) Forrest Cavalry Corps ribbon with Brigadier General top bar, and pendant with photo of Forrest, by Whitehead and Hoag Co.; 5) various newspaper clippings regarding Anderson, including obituary, and a photo of him in advanced age with a young man presumed to be a grandson.
Condition: Photos excellent; 3) Very fine, but with detached pin on reverse; 4) Fair, glued to velvet backing.
