A cased Austrian general officer's fore-and-aft hat and sash
late 19th/early 20th century

Comprising: 1) Black beaver bicorn having wide bands of gold lace, white kidskin sweatband, white silk lining with gilt-stamped Vienna maker's markings and mint green feather panache. 2) Original two compartment leather-covered case with Blacinic & Sohne maker's label. 4) Yellow worsted general officer's sash. 5) Shoulder belt laced in gold on red leather, missing the cartridge pouch.
Condition: Hat excellent, the feathers deteriorating. Case with numerous marks to exterior. Lower compartment originally fitted with drawer, now missing. Sash and belt excellent.
