A scarce French RSC Model 1917 semi-automatic rifle

Serial no. 73855, 8x50mm Lebel. 31 1/2 inch barrel. Action marked Manufacture Nationales/MA T Mle 1917. Walnut stock and fore-end. Buttstock stamped Mai 1918.
Condition: Very good. In original semi-automatic configuration. Metal with dark, mottled patina showing some minor pitting. Sound wood showing numerous dents and bruises. Bolt hold-back and barrel hand guard missing and rarely seen on this model.
