Heavy 29 1/2 inch barrel in .73 caliber smoothbore. Cannon muzzle, integral front and rear sights, sighting rib sheathed in brass and decorated with silver overlaid motifs including rain hats, a straw rain cloak, a granary key and auspicious symbols. Breech inlaid in brass with seal script and mon in the form of conjoined rectangles. Underside of breech signed Shibatsuji Kuro Uemon Kiyo[sada] (kakihan). Match dog with unusual silver encrusted decoration. Brass mounts. Full stock, left side of butt with seal script prefecture stamp.
