An extraordinary cased and gold damascened Deane, Adams and Deane Model 1851 self-cocking percussion revolver

Serial no. 150-, .48 caliber. 7 3/4 inch octagonal barrel marked Deane, Adams & Deane Makers to HRH Prince Albert 50 King William St. London Bridge. Barrel, frame and buttcap completely covered with Indian gold koftgari decoration in the form of blossoms and leafy meander. The cylinder with a repeating design of circles and scrollwork incorporating swastikas. One-piece elephant ivory grip intaglio-carved in relief with flowering lotus plants, the blossom centers formed of bezel-set garnets en cabochon. Complete with original green baize-lined mahogany veneer case, the lid with folding brass handle. Partitioned interior with two lidded compartments. With complete range of accessories including two boxes (one lined in gold leaf), powder flask, nipple wrench, screwdriver, oiler and cleaning rod, all of elephant ivory and relief-carved with lotus meander en suite to revolver grips. Also included is a two cavity Tranter's patent mold and two screw-on accessories for the cleaning rod.
Condition: Excellent. Case lid with scattered marks and small repaired crack. Spring missing on powder flask.
