A pair of English percussion screwbarrel pistols by Westley Richards with associated case

Each with 1 3/4 inch octagonal .46 caliber barrel engraved at the muzzle with a leafy band. Birmingham proofs. Both guns numbered 31 behind the folding triggers. Rounded boxlock actions engraved with leafy scrolls and signed Westley Richards/London. Dolphin-form cocks with half-cock safeties. Finely checkered bag-shaped walnut grips with engraved steel buttcaps. Wrists set with oval silver escutcheons engraved with a crest: a demi-lion rampant holding an arrow above a mural coronet. Together with associated walnut case with green baize-lined interior. Accessories include blued steel bullet mold, Sykes powder flask and green label Eley Bros. cap tin. (empty).
Condition: Guns: Very good. Grey metal showing some scattered marks. Sound grips showing some small bruises to checkering. Case excellent.
