A silver-mounted continental percussion conversion pistol for the eastern market
probably late 18th century

The 10 inch two-stage barrel with widely flared muzzle, the breech section chiseled with high relief with a panoply of arms in the eastern taste. Converted lock, the lockplate decorated en suite with the barrel. Brass trigger and triggerplate. Silver furniture cast and chased with panoplies of arms as the barrel and lock. Full stock relief-carved with panels and leaf-forms.
Condition: Very good. Showing some light pitting. Stock with scattered light marks and some minor losses at fore-end.
