An Albanian rat-tailed miquelet pistol
late 18th/early 19th century

The 12 1/2 .65 caliber barrel with three small maker's marks. Lock of typical form with filework decoration. Steel triggerguard, the bow faced in brass. Brass full stock molded with panels of scrollwork within punched borders, the wrist applied with beaded white metal studs.
Condition: Very good. Lock and barrel with dark grey metal showing scattered light pitting.
