A German double barreled percussion conversion pistol
circa 1780

Having 8 inch tapered round side-by-side Damascus barrels in .59 caliber smoothbore. Engraved and sighted tang. Unmarked replacement conversion locks. Brass furniture. Full walnut stock with horn fore-end cap and relief-carved panels, finely relief-carved florals and scrolls behind the tang and with silver wire scrollwork above the buttcap.
Condition: Very good. Barrels showing much Damascus pattern. Brass with dark patina. Fore-end cap with insect damage. Stock with very sharp relief carving, the fore-end showing chipping and hairline cracks on either side of the ramrod trough.
