A French double barreled flintlock pistol
late 18th century

The 6 1/2 inch tapered round side-by-side barrels in .56 caliber smoothbore. Flat, unmarked locks with stepped tails. Steel furniture with engraved borders. Full walnut stock carved with relief panels and with floral panel behind the barrel tang.
Condition: Fair to good. Metal with dark patina showing some light pitting. Wood showing wear and scattered marks, the front 1 3/4 inches of the fore-end professionally restored, the grip with repaired and filled crack.
