An all steel flintlock belt pistol for the Royal Highland Regiment
by Isaac Bisell, circa 1780

The 7 1/2 inch .56 caliber smoothbore barrel with regimental markings R.H.R. Birmingham proofs. Swan-necked cock. Signed Bissell. Left side of stock fitted with 5 inch steel belthook. Grip with ram's horn butt and engraved on either side with a twelve petal blossom. Retaining the original touch hole pick. Ball trigger. Original steel ramrod.
Condition: Very good. Grey metal showing areas of light pitting and some wear to markings. Ramrod thimble with several small dents.
