An English tap action flintlock pistol by Nicholson
early 19th century

Having 3 inch round .44 caliber screwbarrels with keyed muzzles. London view and proof. Border-engraved steel boxlock action engraved Nicholson on one side and Corn Hill/London on the reverse. Sliding half-cock safety engaging the pan cover. Flat-sided bag-shaped walnut grip.
Condition: Very good. Grey metal showing scattered minor pitting. Sharp markings. Sound wood with scattered light marks.
