A U.S. Model 1879 Trapdoor Springfield rifle

Serial no. 27723-, .45-70, barrel shortened to 24 inches, drilled with two holes to right of muzzle and drilled and tapped for a telescopic sight in front of action, breechblock release removed, stock dated 1883.
Condition: Poor to fair. Barrel and fore-end professionally shortened. Retaining most blued finish. Stock with scattered light marks.
