A rare factory engraved Volcanic lever action carbine

Serial no. 2252, .41 caliber. Scarce 25 inch barrel marked New Haven Conn. Patent Feb. 14 1854 and engraved in front of the rear sight dovetail John K. Henry. Scroll-engraved brass frame fitted with adjustable rear sight. Varnished walnut stock. Silver-plated and scroll-engraved buttplate.
Condition: Very good to fine. Barrel with smooth brown age patina. Frame retains generous traces of silver-plated finish. Stock retains 90% varnish showing scattered small dents and scratches. Buttplate retains 90-95% unpolished silver plating.
