A scarce C.R. Alsop Navy Model percussion revolver

Serial no. 144, .36 caliber. Standard production model. 4 1/2 inch barrel marked C.R. Alsop Middletown Conn/Patented July 17th/August 7th 1860 May 14th 1861. Blued and casehardened finish. Varnished walnut grips.
Condition: Very good to fine. Barrel and frame with brown patina showing generous traces of blue finish with some light spotting. Loading lever retains much darkened casehardening. Cylinder with perhaps 30% blue, the balance turned to brown. Very tight action. Grips with 95% varnish showing scattered light marks.
