A Colt Single Action Army revolver

Serial no. 61778 for 1880, .45 caliber. 7 1/2 inch Hartford-marked barrel. Blued and casehardened finish. Varnished walnut grips.
Condition: Very good. Barrel with grey patina showing very slight traces of blue at breech, one tiny spot of pitting to right side below muzzle and with some pitting to fore-sight. Ejector rod housing with 15-20% of blue in protected areas. Cylinder showing minor pitting and considerable blue finish and brown patina in the flutes. Frame with traces of faded casehardening colors. Hammer retains much partially faded casehardening. Grips with 90% plus varnish showing wear at butt and scattered light marks. Triggerguard/gripstrap with 20-25% dark blue finish.
