A U.S. Model 1860 cavalry saber by Ames Mfg. Co.

Curved 34 3/4 inch blade marked on the ricasso U.S./A.D.K./1863, the reverse Ames Mfg. Co./Chicopee/Mass. Leather and brass wire grip wrapping. Iron two ring scabbard.
Condition: Blade showing sharp markings and scattered light spotting/minor pitting. Guard with dark age patina. Grip wrapping showing some scuffing, the grip with two small splits. Scabbard with rust patination and several dents one foot above drag.
