An Austrian Model 1769/75 heavy cavalry sword

Straight 34 inch single edged blade engraved on either side with the Hapsburg eagle and crown, one side deeply stamped N -, probably a regimental marking. Spine marked for the Austrian manufactory Weiz. Steel hilt of standard pattern, interior of guard with maker's mark -M. Leather-wrapped grip. Heavy scabbard of iron over wood, inner rim of scabbard stamped F.
Condition: Grey metal showing areas of pitting overall. Blade markings fairly sharp, the edge showing numerous nicks. Grip retains 50% of leather wrapping, the wire missing. Scabbard with a few dents, the tip with tear.
