Comprising: 1) Japanese shin-gunto officer's sword, 24 inch blade with signed tang; grip and mounts of standard military pattern; large round iron tsuba of earlier vintage and retaining traces of engraved and inlaid silver decoration; nickeled scabbard retaining part of leather covering. 2) Masai seme, 20th century, 15 inch blade, leather-covered grip and scabbard. 3) Philippine short sword, 19 inch blade widening below the point, wide iron knucklebow/guard, wooden grip with figural pommel, wooden scabbard. 4) Machete, possibly Philippines, 24 inch clip point blade, horn and brass guard, one-piece horn grip, leather scabbard. 5) Two Mexican machetes with horn gripscales and decorated leather scabbards.
Condition: 1) Blade with light scratches and spotting and small chips to edge; tsuba worn and showing some areas of deep pitting, grip worn and stained; scabbard corroded. 2), 3), 4), 5) Generally good, showing some wear, the blades with scratches and some minor pitting. 5) One with losses to gripscales.
