Slightly curved 15 1/2 inch blade of hairpin laminated steel and with double fullers below the spine. Flared grip with silver ferrule and pommel set with turquoise and orange coral cabochons framed by borders of twisted silver wire scrollwork. Side straps set with alternating coral and turquoise stones. Body of grip and scabbard covered in interlinked rings of twisted silver wire. Silver guard of lobed form, the inner side decorated as the hilt. Silver scabbard en suite to hilt, the front and back set with coral and turquoise panels, the suspension rings fitted to a finely cast and chased silver dragon.
Condition: Blade showing scattered light pitting with one area of heavier pitting to one side. Hilt fine and showing four missing stones to guard and one missing stone to gripstrap. Scabbard generally fine but showing a deep dent above the tip with three stones missing adjacent to the dent.
