A lot of three Moro barong
southern Philippines, late 19th/early 20th century

Comprising: 1) With 13 inch single edged blade; grip with alternating bands of repousse German silver and plaited twine; burlwood cockatoo pommel; associated scabbard bound in rattan, the burlwood front carved with scrollwork at the throat and tip. 2) 16 inch blade of typical form, long German silver grip molded with banding and applied with three bands of plaited silver wire; dark wood cockatoo pommel decorated with bone inlays and long scrolling finial. 3) 17 inch blade; grip covered in plaited rattan alternating with twisted twine; cockatoo pommel; original wooden scabbard bound with twine, the front with dark staining.
Condition: Blades showing some staining and minor pitting. 1) Scabbard with minor crack. 3) Pommel with age cracks, scabbard with hairline cracks, piece missing to one throat finial and with some cracks and minor losses above tip.
