HAWKS, JAMES GRANT WILSON, PHILIP HONE; Letters Signed of JOSEPH BONAPARTE, WOODROW WILSON (PARTIAL), and JACOB BARKER; Documents Signed of CADWALLADER COLDEN, EDWARD EVERETT, and GEORGE COLEMAN DE KAY; and Signatures of OWEN LOVEJOY, WILLIAM ELLERY CHANNING, W.C. WHITNEY, AUGUSTUS HILL GARLAND, WILLIAM C. ENDICOTT, THOMAS FRANCIS BAYARD, CHARLES S. FAIRCHILD, GEORGE D. RUGGLES, GEORGE A. JOSEPH, and M.V. SHERIDAN.
Also included is an Autograph Letter lacking signature, 4 pp, 4to, Milwaukee, WI, January 29, 1893, to Dr. S.C. Stout of Cisco, Texas, containing a fervent defense of Henry Wirz, the Confederate officer in command of Andersonville prison who was the only man tried, convicted, and executed for war crimes during the Civil War.
