CHAPLIN, CHARLES. 1889-1977.

Autograph Inscription Signed (“Charlie Chaplin”), 1 p, 4to, n.p., n.d., inscribed for Oliver Barrett and illustrated with sketch of bowler hat, cane, and brogans, on single sheet of typing paper, with penciled notation at margin indicating the inscription was collected by Carl Sandburg, page creased horizontally, moderately toned and thumbed.

Sandburg and Chaplin were lifelong friends, and Sandburg took the opportunity to collect the autograph of the film star for his other close friend, collector Oliver Barrett.
