Autograph Letter Signed ("F. Liszt"), 2½ pp recto and verso, 8vo (conjoining leaves), Milan, March 4, 1838, to M. Pacine (?), tipped to mat, small segment of second leaf lacking affecting the end of two lines.
Liszt writes to a music editor in Paris during his rather controversial stay in Milan. Liszt's implication that Milan audiences were undereducated actually led to a boycott of one of his performances.
