Limited edition of 525, author’s copy, inscribed to Roger Barrett on colophon page: “You have seen and understood how many parts of this book were made in company with your father and his amateur but important archives—and on occasion you served as mascot—so here are prayers and the deep wish that time and the overhead stars be kind to you. / Carl Sandburg / 1940.” Together with Autograph Letter Signed (“Carl Sandburg”), 1 p, 8vo, n.p., September 5, 1945, to Oliver Barrett, quoting a letter from Harry S.
