ANNOTATED PROOFS OF PARTS TWO AND THREE OF “THE PLANT.”
1. Typed Manuscript Signed ("Steve"), 28 lls, 4to, Bangor, ME, 1983, being page proofs of Part Two of The Plant, printed text laid down to bifoliate sheets, annotated by King and others throughout, signed near end of ms in pencil, leaves thumbed. Together with a photocopy of King’s typed manuscript of the chapter.
2. Typed Manuscript Signed (“Steve” and “S.K.”), 56 pp, 4to, Bangor, ME, 1985, being the copyedited version of Part Three of The Plant, additionally annotated in pencil by King, mild toning to a few leaves, some creasing and wear to upper margin of first leaf.

Stephen King began composing The Plant in 1982; he sent out Part One that year as a chapbook to friends instead of a Christmas card. He followed with Part Two in 1983 and Part Three in 1985, dropping the project until 2000, when it was resurrected as an online project. This lot offers the annotated page proofs of Part Two and the annotated manuscript of Part Three.
