Modern full brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt. K8 with two short tears, minor worming through final two-thirds, with repair to last two signatures, otherwise a clean copy.

First edition. Child, Governor of the British East India Company, is sometimes considered a pioneer in the development of free trade doctrines of the 18th century, though he adhered to many of the mercantile policies of his day. BMC 5.670.361.
