The Birth Life and Acts of King Arthur of his Noble Knights of the Round Table Their Marvellous Enquests and Adventures…. [London]: Dent, 1893-1894. 2 volumes. Illustrated throughout by Aubrey Beardley, including 2 photogravure frontispieces, 20 full-page or double-page plates, plus ornaments, borders, and initials. 4to. Original publisher’s cream cloth decorated in gilt, top edges gilt, other edges uncut. Neat gift inscription dated 1900, some very mild darkening to cloth, near fine.

First Beardsley edition, in book form, one of 1500 copies on ordinary paper from a total edition of 1800. Aubrey Beardsley’s finest work. Ray, Illustrator and the Book in England, 314.
