The Quadrupeds of North America. New York: V.G. Audubon, 1856. 3 volumes. Illustrated with 155 hand-colored lithographic plates. 8vo (265 x 173 mm). Original brown morocco, covers with elaborate blind panel-stamped titular design, spine in six compartments, two of which are gilt lettered, the others with decoration in blind, a.e.g. Internally quite clean, hinges reinforced, covers with light rubbing to extremities, spines somewhat darkened, joints and head and tail of spines rubbed, an excellent set overall.
