America septentrionalis novissima / America meridionalis accuratissima. Amsterdam: [1690]. Copper-engraved map, hand-colored in outline and 2 cartouches hand-colored, 500 x 578 mm. Green color oxidized, tissue reinforcement to verso repairing tears near oxidation and small loss at foot of lower cartouche, short marginal tear.

Depicts California as an island. Two finely detailed cartouches, the lower one depicting natives smoking and bartering with a llama, a native sentry post in the background. Leighly 102; McLaughlin 120; Tooley 56.
