Virginiae item et Floridae Americae provinciarum nova descriptio. [Amsterdam, c.1630.] Copper-engraved map, 344 x 489 mm. Centerfold strengthened and a repaired tear to upper margin, else fine.

Attractive copy of this well-known map, based on those of White (1590) and Le Moyne (1591). "The most important type map of the region until the Ogilby-Moxon 'Discription of Carolina' ca.1672; and its influence, both direct and indirect, extends into the middle of the eighteenth century" (Cumming, Southeast, 26). Latin text on verso (8G1).
