Period marbled sheep. 4 leaves at end of text bound out of order, some mild browning and occasional small stains/spots, some plate imprints cropped and captions shaved, short repaired stub tear to map, rebacked.

Includes surveys of the coasts of Tasmania, New Caledonia, the north coast of New Guinea, and the southwest coast of Australia. "Labillardiere's account of the Tongans is among the best contributions to the ethnology of that people" (Hill 168).
