Metamorphoseos, sive lusus asini libri xi. Venice: Aldus, May, 1521. a-z8, A-K8, i8, 2-3.8, 4.4. Title-page ruled in red. Aldine dolphin and anchor device on title-page and on colophon. In Latin. Commentary in Greek at end. 8vo (149 x 85 mm). 18th century speckled calf, spine gilt. First two leaves with inconspicuous extension at outer margin; ownership inscriptions on front flyleaves dated 1900 and 1953; rebacked with original spine (somewhat chipped) laid down.

Apuleius's most important work and well-known as the only Latin novel to survive complete. Adams A1362.
