Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1956. A fancy evening gown made of metallic-gold brocade fabric worn by the actress as she portrayed Amanda Penrose in the film that was a remake of the 1939 classic, "The Women" [which itself was based on the Clare Booth Luce stage play]; an inside label with a handwritten annotation penned in black fountain pen ink reads "Ann Sheridan / 1688-4943" and a stamp on the inside lining reads "M-G-M Wardrobe." Also included is an ornate beaded bikini-type bottom, though it appears to be from a different costume altogether.
