20th Century Fox, 1967. Made out of satin with a psychedelic pattern in shades of red, orange, yellow and black and further adorned with beads, sequins, and rhinestones; miniscule in size [likely a modern-day Size 0], these pants (along with a matching jacket not part of lot) were made for Garland to wear in her role as Helen Lawson, though she famously got fired from the production before filming started. She took off with all the clothes from the set anyway and later wore these pants on stage in New York at the Palace Theatre in 1967, her last American concert. (Please note the beaded adornment is now in fragile condition and much of it is loose or partially coming off.) Included is a reprinted color image showing Garland wearing the pants.
