Culled from the director's own personal files, the collection includes: copies of telegrams sent and received, copies of typed correspondence, a never-published script titled "Numero Uno," miscellaneous pieces of paperwork regarding films he was associated with, copies of typed letters mailed to Ray Bradbury, a signed letter from Bradbury, a few pieces of paperwork annotated by Peckinpah, a copy of his will, and his 1968 passport signed twice by him, among other pieces deemed important enough to save. Also included is his 1970s-era telephone book listing the names and numbers of his famous friends such as (in alphabetical order): Joan Blondell, Governor Jerry Brown, Ray Bradbury, James Coburn, Francis Ford Coppola, Joan Didion, Bob Dylan, Katharine Hepburn, Charlton Heston, Dustin Hoffman, Kris Kristofferson, Jack Lemmon, Ida Lupino, Steve McQueen, and Randolph Scott, as well as Hollywood restaurants, hotels and other places he frequented.
